Outcast Expands Sales Team

Post-merger, Outcast Thursday (Nov. 12) announced the expansion of its national sales team. John Caronna was named vp of sales for the company's western region and Roger Blackshaw will serve as vp of sales for the central region. Both will report to Nathan Gill, chief media officer of Outcast, the company formed early last month with the merger between Fuelcast and Bhootan.

Lamar to Slow Digital Rollout

Soft advertising and a difficult economy forced outdoor company Lamar Advertising to temporarily suspend its digital rollout in 2009. Compared to the 400 billboards the company converted to digital this year, next year that number will fall to 100.

Nielsen, Integrated Debut OOH TV Metric

For the first time, the TV industry has daily electronic measures of TV viewing outside the home. On Monday (Sept. 2), The Nielsen Co. and its partner, Integrated Media Measurement Inc. debuted the first ratings results from the new syndicated service and announced two charter clients, ESPN and Zenith Media.

CC Outdoor Wins Transit Contracts

Clear Channel Outdoor has won the advertising rights to the Sacramento public transit system and the San Antonio bus system, bringing the outdoor giant's annual transit reach to 500 million riders. The five-year contract for Sacramento was effective July 1.

Titan to Sell Ads on Pace

Expanding its footprint in Chicago, Titan Worldwide announced Monday (Sept. 29) it has acquired the contract to sell advertising on Pace, the suburban bus division of the Regional Transportation Authority. The multi-year Pace contract begins Oct. 1 and covers transit shelter, wrapped buses and exterior and interior media for 570 buses, 230 fixed bus routes, 700 vanpools and 363 paratransit buses.
